The municipality of Belitsa is picturesquely located in the northeastern part of the Razlozhka valley and the Blagoevgrad region, along the Mesta river valley, between the southern slopes of the Eastern Rila and the northern slopes of the Veliyshko-Videnishki part of the Western Rhodopes. It borders Yakorud, Banska, Razlozhka, Rila, Samokov and Velingrad municipalities.
It covers 12 settlements, 8 of which are scattered in the high mountain part of the Rhodopes. The municipal center of the town of Belitsa is located in the southern part of Rila and is connected by a deviation of 4 km (from the main road Razlog - Velingrad) to the international roads E-79 and E-80, which ensures good transport accessibility to Sofia (172 km). and Blagoevgrad (72 km).
